Celebration of Music

Ms. Reilly’s earliest musical palates were influenced by her father, a jazz musician, who filled the living room with Classical, Jazz- and (in later years) R&B and World Music throughout her childhood. This diverse exposure is now heard in her music, which appears to pay homage to no particular music genre, but [is] a clear celebration of Music itself.
As a composer, Ms. Reilly channels the baroque masters, in simple playful romps; while [at] other times she unwittingly fuses elements of jazz and funk to spice up the pieces with refreshingly unexpected delights.

Reaching For the Sky

Ms. Reilly is currently in working on 2 CD projects, one of which is a collection of her compositions and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. The second CD will be a compilation of original songs, which should be completed sometime in 2014.

These projects have been a long time coming, but when confronted with the question "why now?", Ms. Reilly is quoted as saying "I can no longer justify NOT fulling this dream". You see, when it comes to the Music industry, labels and Image are much more valued than the music itself. So it's not surprising when bonifide musicians, singers and composers are discouraged from jumping into the Music "Market". Well, as it turns out, time and technology have finally leveled the playing field. The barriers and exclusivity of the Record Label are all but torn down - like the Wall in Berlin. Today, anyone wanting to express themselves through their Art can do so, without permission or executive approval. In this, the age of Youtube, Blogging and Social Networking, the stage is set for self expression and promotion. Yes, its a little crowded, but the possibilities are limiteless!
